They haven't added much, only a lick of paint and some turnstiles, nothing too photo-worthy.
I don't believe you can take pictures in the Waterpark anyway, for obvious reasons?
Oh thanks, I didn't think of that
Not being harsh but its common sense :P Think of the amount of children that go in there and im sure mums & dads wouldnt be to pleased if someone went in with a camera and started taking random photos of the place.

Alton themselves could've took some pictures before they had opened the Waterpark, and maybe used them to finally update there Flickr?

Nope, the last images uploaded on there were the Ultimate Fireworks pictures, just last Tuesday. Alton tend to upload images onto their Facebook page more than anything.
I doubt the water park looks much different any way. All it will be is repainted floors, new flooring and other bits and bobs fixed, nothing exciting.
Oh I do clearly remember it being allowed to be able to take photos inside the water park, since we(me and my family) used to take pictures inside there. The net that is around the walk way never used to be there either.

It's nearly February and we still haven't been told the 2011 attraction, or seen the release of the brochure

It could just be a coincidence, but they probably have made the area inacessable due to matienance on the attractions in that area
Let's be honest. It looking more and more likely that nothing is happening at all for 2011 in terms of new developments, no matter how small.
Even with the "despair" of 2007 and the Haunted Hollow and Dung Heap, we knew before this time.
Looks like 2011 could be the new 2007.
:P

I don't see how we would know of any attractions being added or not?
I know many people know people who work at the resort and have their 'sources', however it's perfectly plausable that an attraction has, is or will be installed before the park opens in a couple of months? Or even a mid season attraction? I've heard in the past about attractions being installed later in the season.
It's wrong to assume we won't see anything this year, when it's tradition for the resort to install a new attraction each season.

I really think we would have heard something by now, unless the new attraction is to be something so small that it won't be worth talking about anyway.

I reckon everything thats been going on has been a marketing tatic to throw us off what's really happening. Perhaps they've found a new way of keeping secrets.

I have heard the new Marketing director taking over from Mowenna is starting at some point this week, so that could be why nothing has been released yet.
Maybe the new director needs to sign it off...?
Just a thought.

"It would be spiteful to put Jellyfish in a trifle..."
I'm sticking to the belief that there will be a 4D cinema this year. I'm sure they'll have still built the cinema that was already on order when the Dreamworks deal went through.

That could most certainly be why we've herd nothing yet. What with Morwenna and James having left last year the teams have probably had a reshuffle so they haven't had much time to organise everything for 2011.
I'm sure we'll be seeing a attraction/re-theme this year, however small or large it will be. Wouldn't surprise me if we see a new attraction opening in the summer to.

I think you're over-estimating the power of the marketing manager. I think Morwenna was a special case, as she clearly expanded her role to do so many other things. Also unlike all other SW's, Th13teen was so poor in itself that a HEAVY amount of marketing, PR and hype was needed because the ride couldn't stand up on its own.
I think that the decision isn't influenced that much by marketing, it'll mostly be Crabbe's decision I reckon.
