Sorry if this topic is a bit flimsy for one photo, but it really is epically incredible.

Taken by Ollie at CoasterForce:

Actually, it was taken by Rach from CoasterForce.

Although this photo by Hixee also from CoasterForce is probably a contender for this unofficial contest also.

Each to their own, but I think this photo I took is just as good. Ok the quality is not as good, but the blue sky makes it for me, but then again I would say that considering its my photo.

I agree with everyone else, It's not that great of a photo Sam... Yeah it's a nice photo and you couldn't catch it with a slow shutter camera.

The one mitch linked too, is a nice photo as well. I'm a bit of a sucker for panos :P

Marky.com had a couple of really quite mind blowing images of Nemesis. I can't find them now, but they were so good, they stick out in my head 2 years on!

I think that one takes the prize. It's fantastically sharp.
In the coat you wore to Alton Towers is still the way I see you now...

It's a nice attempt at something a bit "arty" rather than the usual roller coaster photography about but the photographer has used a wide aperture to give a small depth of field. Nothing wrong with this at all but in this case, it could have been used to a much better effect.

The photographer has focused on the track approx 4 meters in front of the train, leaving the train (the point of interest) out of focus.

Also, a slightly slower shutter speed would have added to the effect of movement, giving it some more life and potentially hiding the fact that it is out of focus.

Good effort though :)

Yeah, it certainly isn't that amazing really... Certainly not the best ever taken by far.

I don't think it's good at all. :?

The focus is on the track with a blurred style background, in essence it's just a close up of the track.
