Alton Towers for us is a dream place to visit we love the place..

Today we visited Alton Towers (Report will be posted on Tuesday evening) and we had a superb day everything was just about perfect..

Well for people who don't know me I usually visit with my family and I love doing reports with pictures of my day on different websites..

Firstly I want to make absolutely clear that Alton Towers was NOT blame for our incident today in the Berry Bish Bash.. [-X

Well where do I start..
Ok lets start at the beginning, My children were firing soft foam balls at each other as this is the basis of the experience, hence the name Berry Bish Bash..
Now these balls are soft foam and are designed not to hurt, well today Bradley (9) fired a ball and it hit this guy in the face and he went absolutely berserk.. :x

He chased Bradley down the stairs and I went after this guy as he was out of control, I was able to get to him before he grabbed hold of my Son and in front of children he completely lost control of himself..

I was able to calm him down and security were called to attend the situation..
He was basically calling Bradley a racist for firing sponge balls at him and i told him to stop being an idiot..

Bradley was quite upset by the experience and we decided to go home.. :(

I have to say that Alton Towers Staff are amazing and dealt with the situation very well, I think that the man was escorted off the park as I saw the security men coming back from the exit..

Here are a few pictures just before WW3 happened..

Wow. Really sorry to hear about that. What an idiot. Some people just shouldn't be allowed to leave the house.

At least security seemed to deal with it well, but I imagine that's small consolation for a ruined day. Hope your next visit is better.
For some things there is no rational explanation. There is no way out. There is no happy ending to this story. Welcome to the unknown. Welcome to eternal darkness.

As i said over facebook chat, totally wrong of this guy to do that and to pull the racist card out is just not on. Whats even worse is this place (berry bash) is for kids, so what the hell did he think he was doing.

Nice one on handling the situation and good to hear towers supporting you (of course)
Hopefully your visit on friday will be more pleasurable :D

What a stupid man, such a shame it ruined your day.

Someone pulled the racist card on one of my work colleagues. U know how kfc charge for ketchup (i know it is awful but people seem to think that us who serve are the ones who invented this charge  ) well anyway, the lady had visited alton towers the day before and had a kfc and not been charged for ketchup. Then, she visited the next day and someone charged for ketchup (rightly so), and she went nuts and said "ur charging me because im black". Really not right at all

Thanks guys,
We had a Merlin Pass holder approach security and confirm what had happened as they could not believe it..

Chatting to some staff and they told me that this has never happened before, I was discussing this subject with my Wife on our long trip back home to Blackpool, we feel that Alton Towers might put an age restriction on this now as a consequence of this idiots behavior..

What a pathetic idiot, and how the hell can he pull the racism card The words around my head now would get me kicked off, but suffice to say this clown should not be allowed out the house for being such a stupid, pathetic so and so...

Glad the staff sorted it out well, shame it ruined your day and hope nothing like that happens again, to you or anyone else.

Thanks Khange I love doing them..
I have just purchased 5 Merlin passes so we will be heading South quite frequently this year..

The Guy was around 40 years a complete loon, but he looked quite respectful and intelligent he just lost control of himself, I think he was more embarrassed that he made himself look a complete cock in front of a lot of people.. #-o

That sounds really scary and totally unnecessary! [-X

I try to avoid taking my kids in there myself (even though they always want to) because last year a ball hit my (then three year old) daughter in the ear and made her cry. The boy who'd fired said ball reacted by laughing in an almost supervillian kind of way. Horrible. Obviously though, I didn't react to the boy (what sane person would) and simply concentrated on comforting my daughter.

It's really sad when these sort of things happy to decent people like yourselves. I hope Bradley's ok about the whole thing now. :)

Disgusting. What the hell is someone like this doing in a child's play area, the purpose of which is to fire the balls at each other? Someone that volitile...I wouldn't know how to react for the best!

What a complete lunatic! I'm sorry to hear what he did to your Bradley, mate. Who chases down a small child?! This does beg the question, what was he doing in there? I was under the impression you couldn't go in unless you were accompanying a child yourself. Glad to hear security sorted him out though, hopefully they'll ban his stupid **** from the park for a good long while.

Shocking news, absolutely shocking.

Hate it when people play the racist card, any they wonder why there is such prejudice.

Was he with his family? They're usually pretty strict about letting people in unless they have kids with them.

Anyone WITH kids should be used to unexpected moments of pain and embarrassment ;)

Really shocked to hear this, I've met some fairly unpleasant people at the towers, but nobody to this kind of degree :(

Glad the security dealt with it, but it is a day ruiner...

Yes he was with 2 Children as he told me that his 5 yr old would not disrespect an adult by shooting balls at them.. :?

I dont know if its a cultural thing..?

But if it is then he should learn to integrate into the British way of life..

? So, he doesn't mind kids shooting his 5 year old in the face, but objects to it himself? Selfish twat!

Sorry, had to be said. I go with Maxi-Minor_Furie everywhere in there and put myself in front of him to stop him from getting shot. I don't do any shooting myself, but I'd rather make myself a target and have the other kids enjoy shooting at me than potentially (accidentally) hurting my four year old.

Very bizarre way of viewing the world in my opinion. It's a kids attraction, for kids to have fun. The adults should let the kids do that, and kids LOVE having an opportunity to have a game which works in their favour (you're a bigger target, and the guns shoot as well for a four year old as they do an adult) :)

Anyway, I'm a firm believer that everyone must earn respect, and you don't get it by shouting, yelling and threatening. I also believe that kids deserve respect too from adults. I'm not really into the whole respect thing though - it doesn't make much sense to me

The irony of it all is the fact that that man himself is quite obviously racist. I don't care what people say, but to instantly assume that an innocent act is a form of racism instantly says to me that you are a racist person and you're just looking to start a racist argument, if that makes sense.

It's a shame. I hate racism, I think its petty and pathetic. But... seriously, that man needs to get a grip. A nine year old boy probably doesn't even know what racism is or even what the concept is.

I've yet to have someone pull the racist card out on me thank god! When it does though, I've no idea how I'll act! Surely racism is very much a thing of the past now? :|

I'm very sorry to hear about this Peter and I hope it doesn't happen again. But, like you, I would be utterly livid if this happened to me!

Absolutely shocking that something like this could happen this day in age. I have never been in there myself as i am 15 and arent aloud in because i am to old and also to young. It confuses me so much how i can be to young and to old.
