Source: Stoke Sentinal850 jobs on offer with theme park

ALTON Towers has around 850 jobs up for grabs as it prepares for the new season.
The resort has began its annual recruitment drive earlier this year because of plans to open part of the attraction for the February half-term.
It means hundreds of jobs are now being advertised online, with 28 different types of jobs available.
Alton Towers's human resources manager Jo Winfield said: "The annual recruitment process is starting even earlier than usual because we are opening selected rides during February half-term.
"Even though we then close until the middle of March, we aim to be fully recruited well in advance to allow time for all the necessary induction and role specific training, and with 850 positions to fill, we need as much time as possible."
Jobs on offer include posts in food outlets, ride operators, retail staff and animal information hosts to give talks in the SeaLife Centre.
People interested in applying need to fill in an application form on the resort's job website.
Shortlisted candidates will then be invited to an assessment day.
Ms Winfield added: "As is always the case, most of the positions are customer facing so we have very definitive recruitment requirements to ensure we get the right people.
"We are looking for enthusiastic, outgoing, confident individuals who want to work somewhere fun and exciting and who don't mind a bit of hard work."
The first assessment day will be held on January 4 and they will then be held daily during the week and every other weekend until the park opens on March 20.
Last year, 15,895 application forms were received for the 800 jobs on offer with 1,633 going through to assessments.
Recruitment bosses at the resort are contacting those who worked there last season to see if they want to return but new people will have a number of ways of applying.
The resort's 2010 season is already surrounded in great excitement with a new £15 million roller-coaster, Thirteen, claiming to be the scariest ride in the UK.
Ride enthusiasts have been speculating for months what would replace the Corkscrew ride and the theme park made the revelation earlier this month Thirteen will be themed around a burial chamber.
