Saw yesterday at the park, that now, a sign has been added to the roof which is very nice looking in the style of the old Skyride, wish I'd got a picture.
Does anyone have a pic of this sign.

So glad its in the old style airship thingy. Looked really cool and quirky :)

The sky ride rebuild has impressed me i thought that AT would just rebulid it as quick as possible not paying much attention but looking at the photos it looks really good. Hats of to Towers

Looked to me last week that the Towers St. station has had a little bit of work done. Possibly new gates added and seemed to be a bit of paint work from the outside.

Maybe all 3 stations will be looking nice and new this year! :)

Sky Ride station looks like it is coming along great! I am glad that they are in-keeping with the original style of the signs and logos. I take it this is going to be ready for March 20th?

I really like the signs above, looking very professional, then again its not a surprise from the towers, i hope they are used in the other stations

The build has been really quick, and i really wouldn't be surprised if it was opened for the 20th, considering it only burnt down late last season opening for the first day of the next season is a great acheivement.

Does anyone know if they've finished replacing the cable yet? From the looks of it that could be the only thing setting them back. If it is done though, I don't doubt it'll be ready for opening day.

I've just done another update on our Skyride Reconstruction Gallery, including some sneaky Thirteen and Rita shots, plus what looks to me to be the ends of re-cabling work.

Certainly by the 20th all the scaffolding which was being used for the cabling work had been dismantled.

It's a shame a lot of the nice detailing from the original building has been lost:

But by all accounts the new building is brighter and lighter inside, and the new signage looks great.

Yeah it is a bit of a shame, however the original building was just a reflection of the building styles in the late 80's (mock Victorian) it would be sily to re-build it the same way - it has to be a modern version; and so far I think they're doing quite well.

Yeah as much as I liked the old building style, it was looking a bit dated and not longer fitted in with anything around it. Toyland Tours and Cred Street had a similar style but now they have both changed it seems fitting that the Sky Ride looks spruced up.

The signs are great and its nice to see the current generic theme to be carried on with the hot air balloons etc. I was looking forward to maybe a bit of Thirteen theming in there but after seeing what they've done it has quickly grown on me.

So it seems its just the Towers Street station left to jazz up! Mind you I suppose all they can do is give it a lick of paint. I doubt they will carry out any major building work if they don't have to.

Loss of detail? :? How? I quite like the whole ATH style logo for it. It's good! I can see how the building has lost a few things, but hardly much worth missing really.

No you can see what he means, the sign may look better and the building a lot fresher, but theres those little things on the roof in green that gave it a little more character. Though the new building looks better, it's a shame to have lost these. I quite agree with him.
