In HUGE quality.
I will concede one thing and thats my confusion of Rita with the new rides track. It does show bi track throughout the ride which I suppose opens the market more.

My only concern is the track being bi-track throughout. These manufacturers use this track on junior coasters not larger coasters. Heavy running track is usually much thicker and most of the times Tri-track (Premier, Mack & Intamin) It's very puzzling but I still think Intamin with Mack a close second it just whiffs Intamin mainly due to them using Bi track in larger coasters.

Plus the square shaped supports what have also been seen on Intamin coasters that are on the plans what suggests that it is more towards Intamin

Let's have a quick pause and actually just map out all the possibilities of the three manufacturers it's generally agreed are most likely: Intamin, Mack and Premier. EDIT: totally forgot Vekoma, will do them in a bit.

Premier

LIM-Terrain Following Coasters (The Italian Job: Stunt Track)
Could be a possibility, track type is correct and these obviously have the capacity for (backwards?) launches. The unique ride cars could be themed and really made something special. Against: none of these rides contain lift hills so far and are quite low capacity.

[s:uhm4smtm]LIM Dark Coasters[/s:uhm4smtm] (Revenge of the Mummy)
SW6 is not inside for almost all the ride.

[s:uhm4smtm]LIM Catapult Coasters[/s:uhm4smtm] (Rock n Rollercoaster)
[s:uhm4smtm]LIM Double Launch Shuttle Coasters[/s:uhm4smtm] (Speed - The Ride)
[s:uhm4smtm]Diving LIM Shuttle Loop Coasters[/s:uhm4smtm] (Mr Freeze)
All these rides focus on high speed launches at the beginning.

[s:uhm4smtm]Dueling LIM Shuttle Loop Coasters[/s:uhm4smtm] (Batman and Robin: The Chiller)
SW6 has only one track.

[s:uhm4smtm]Liquid Coaster[/s:uhm4smtm] (Buzzsaw Falls)
[s:uhm4smtm]Water Coaster[/s:uhm4smtm]
Plans show no splashdown section.

Steel Coaster (Runaway Mountain)
Hard to make out track design on this one based on this photo but the only one built was in 1996, and generally looks dated and nowhere near the quality needed for a Secret Weapon ride.

[s:uhm4smtm]Wood Coaster[/s:uhm4smtm] (Wild Wild West)
[s:uhm4smtm]Pipeline Coaster[/s:uhm4smtm]
[s:uhm4smtm]AquaFlyer[/s:uhm4smtm] (Rollersoaker)
[s:uhm4smtm]Bat Flyer[/s:uhm4smtm]
[s:uhm4smtm]Gyro Flyer[/s:uhm4smtm]
Completely wrong track design.

[s:uhm4smtm]Junior Coaster[/s:uhm4smtm]
SW6 is obviously not a kids ride.

Source: Premier

Intamin

[s:uhm4smtm]Mega Coaster[/s:uhm4smtm] (Superman - Ride of Steel)
[s:uhm4smtm]Giga Coaster[/s:uhm4smtm] (Millenium Force)
Too high for Alton.

[s:uhm4smtm]Accelerator[/s:uhm4smtm] (Rita)
[s:uhm4smtm]Wing Rider[/s:uhm4smtm] (Furious Baco)
SW6 doesn't start with a launch. Couldn't possibly be unless it was a new kind of Accelerator with lifthill and backwards launch capabilities. Two in one area is also unlikely, though Air and Nemesis's ride types are very closely related and would the GP really notice?

[s:uhm4smtm]Vertical Lift Coasters[/s:uhm4smtm] (Fahrenheit)
Layout of SW6 doesn't feature a vertical lift.

Mega-Lite (Kawasemi)
Could easily be this, with some additional effects for the "mystery section" we know Intamin are capable of. This ride is well known for giving an intense ride with a small lift hill, and you can easily imagine SW6's layout fitting with a mega-lite. Capable of switch-track, as seen in this photo. Bi-rail track can be used as seen here.

[s:uhm4smtm]Motorbike Coaster[/s:uhm4smtm]
SW6 doesn't start with a launch.

[s:uhm4smtm]Wooden Coaster[/s:uhm4smtm] (El Toro)
[s:uhm4smtm]LSM Coaster - Surf Rider[/s:uhm4smtm]
[s:uhm4smtm]LSM Ball Coaster[/s:uhm4smtm]
[s:uhm4smtm]LIM Impulse[/s:uhm4smtm] (Wicked Twister)
[s:uhm4smtm]ZacSpin Coaster[/s:uhm4smtm] (Inferno)
[s:uhm4smtm]Suspended Coaster[/s:uhm4smtm] (Volcano: The Blast Coaster)
[s:uhm4smtm]Multi Inversion Coaster[/s:uhm4smtm] (Collosucks)
Totally wrong track layout/design.

LSM Launch Coaster - Blitz (Maverick)
The other likely candidate. A launched lift-hill (or at least a high speed one) could be the key in making this ride short and thrilling. Also capable of launches. Correct track type as seen here.

Twist and Turn Coaster (Comet Express)
Unlikely, but can't rule it out. Controlled spinning isn't exactly gonna blow the world away, but it is mentioned on their site it can be built outdoors and also with a lift-hill.

Mack

e-Motion Coaster
(Tulireki)
Could possibly be the innovative element that will make this ride stand out - tipping cars

[s:uhm4smtm]Powered Coaster[/s:uhm4smtm] (RMT)
Plans have a lifthill.

[s:uhm4smtm]YoungSTAR[/s:uhm4smtm] (Pegasus)
Kids coaster.

Wild Mouse (Matterhorn Blitz)
Extremely unlikely, though not impossible. Capacity would be a nightmare and plan has no block-breaks like you usually find on coasters with high numbers of ride cars (Spinball).

[s:uhm4smtm]Bobsled[/s:uhm4smtm] (Schweizer Bobbahn)
Wrong track type.

[s:uhm4smtm]Powered Coaster - Flying or Suspended[/s:uhm4smtm]
Has a lifthill, not powered.

Gravity Coaster
Track type correct, but just doesn't feel substantial enough for AT. This layout does look suspicious similar to SW6's though.

[s:uhm4smtm]Launch Coasters[/s:uhm4smtm]
Has a lifthill, though could be a similar ride type with lifthill and backwards launch
Could be me being stupid but looking over the plans I only see flat bi-track on the new coaster, the only rita style track I see is...Rita. If you could point me out the Rita style track that isnt actually Rita on the new plans that would be great. If I'm wrong I do apologise.
Complete ownage. Brilliant.

Again I'm an outsider on the situation and the discussion on this has gotten ridiculous now.

I do have a query....why don't the trains need to be shown on the plans?

I am pretty certain that if Alton Towers' Technical Services have anything to do with it, then the ride would never be an Intamin.

Seems there has been some strange mysterious track that has been snapped at the B&M iron works.
Its on Screamscape but seems to be down.Anyone else have better luck

---- Post Info Added ----

Just seen one of the pics,on one footer part of the writing is missing but the last two letters are 'on' as in Alton next two are 'to' then UK .
All the track is going into shipping containers.
evil cod

Putting aside the part of you that really wants it to be a B&M, don't you see a problem in fact that it doesnt match the track in the plans?

So why are B&M manufacturing a European coaster in the US rather than their European manufacturing plant?

The reason the plans don't show a Premier is because the cross ties go in the wrong direction by the way. On Premier they're right to left, on Intamin, left to right (just like on the plans).

The track also matches the Intamin Motocoaster track. I think it will be a slight hybrid from Intamin, something we've not seen before - but made out of other things Intamin already have in operation.

I think Spike is being bold, but looking at all the evidence so far, Intamin are the current best match.

The problem is, as information comes out, then things can change. So, at the moment, Intamin are the prime candidates. However, that doesn't mean it will stay that way as time goes on... It's just not B&M!
If you\'ve got a problem, stuff a worm in it!

Apart from the fact that those pictures had been taken a while ago in Ohio and had probably been shipped over from mainland Europe. That is unlikely going to be for Alton Towers. I just cannot see B&M changing their track design. Anyway what is with the obsession with some people wanting it to be a B&M. The plans obviously show that it is not B&M track so can't we just drop the fact that it is going to be a B&M. I will be very surprised in 2010 if this coaster is a B&M it is just an unrealistic idea and nearly everything is going against it being a B&M.

Edit: Furie you got to there first. #-o

Just incase nobody noticed, it says on the plans track will be 'painted to a dark colour'. So what you all think? Black, brown, grey?

Personally I think deep green/black could look pretty good, I mean we may even see it get a Nemesis style workshop paint?

Yes you are in the motor bike position. Take a look here: http://www.intaminworldwide.com/iag/ind ... &Itemid=32

Kaz i think it is highly possible that SW6 will have a Nemesis style paint job considering the theme.

The red track is Dive Machine track and is going to China.

The yellow track is that of an inverter or a sit down.

Neither colour is suitable for Alton Towers.

I was just going to say, that track will not go to Alton for the simple cast it is not a "dark colour" as stated on the plans. End of.

As in like, rusty tracks? If so then no, I wouldn't like that. Black or a dark grey would fit well I think or a dark green and maybe some dark brown supports. It would be good if they managed to camoflage it a bit in the trees. Would give more of a sense of mystery before you ride. :P

Don't know about train colours though. I guess that depends a lot on the type they will be.

The pics show a date on the track as 5 May 2009
The Happy Valley B&M was cancelled months ago.
I don't think this track is for Alton either but i'm still believing that they have something
different to show case at Alton IN 2010

^It could be a replacement piece of track for Chimelong Paradises B&M dive machine. But why would Alton release plans which look nothing like a B&M roller coaster. Why would B&M create a new type of coaster for them which does not have their trade mark track shown in the plans. You would not look at it and say oh it is a B&M with Intamin track. You would think it was some other Intamin not B&M. The non enthusiast public often relate coasters together by their type of track so it would be a bad move for B&M to change their whole track design.
