Re: Hyde Park: Winter Wonderland 2009

The Black Hole does use restraints in a form of lap belts; rather like what the Wild Mouse uses in Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

I have got a Merlin Annual Pass and to be honest, the Fright Night restriction at Thorpe Park does not really bother me. On "normal" days of the season, the park can't get their queues below and hour so all I would be doing at FN is standing in queues- not fun when you have just come for t...

Re: Hyde Park: Winter Wonderland 2009

Ha, nice trip report there- made me laugh a little bit. To be honest, the thing about the 6 min cycle on the Power Tower does really depend on what time of the day you go. I went just after the fair had opened really (around 11:00am) and there was no queue at all and the Tower was hardly full. Howev...

Re: Hyde Park: Winter Wonderland 2009

The Euro Coaster was awful but think of it being unique. The Black Hole was unique too, however I feel that they really needed to theme the inside to make the ride something special.

Re: Hyde Park: Winter Wonderland 2009

The Power Tower was amazing this year. I would really like to see it come back in 2010!

Re: New to the forum? Introduce yourself here!

Hi everyone! I am themealgang and have been posting on and off in the SW6 forum for a while but I thought I would say a real "Hello" now. I have been a roller coaster fan for as long as I can remember and love Alton Towers. I am also an Annual Pass holder. I first discoverd TT sometime ago...

Re: Thorpe Park: Future Discussion

It has been outlined before but Thorpe Park need to stop adding rides every year and need to focus on their reliability and crowd control for once. The entrance is in a mess plus, is it only me or the queues at Thorpe Park are always huge. Waiting in a queue is expected at a theme park but not for t...

Re: 2010: Spinball Whizzer Re-Theme!

Looks like if this Spinball re-theme does go ahead, it will all be complete by February 1/2 term. What a early treat that would be?!

Re: February Half Term 2010

At last we see Nemesis join the line-up. This means all the roller coasters in the park will be open apart from Rita (God knows what she will be known as next year) and Thirteen. Wonderful!

Re: Corkscrew loops to be placed in Entrance Plaza

I really like this idea. I think Alton are trying to do a Thorpe Park entrance like what they did with the Intamin track. This looks very dramatic and effective so I hope they give permission for Alton Towers to install the Corkscrews once more. The legend of Corky will live on!

Re: Scarefest 2010

considering the theme, SW6 Live would be nice, like what Thorpe Park did with Saw: The Ride this year.

Re: 2010 Park Map

I would really like to see a change in the design of map next year to fit with the arrival of SW6. To be honest, I thought the 2008/09 map design looks awful and reminded me very much of a comic strip! I would like to see the "cartoon" feel gone with next years map and make it have a more ...
