Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion
I don't think it would be a security desk as although that could work for guests walking from the main car park, it would be a struggle with monorail and express guests to access in a queueing format.

Although an interesting revelation a disappointing one in my eyes, an Oceaneering dark ride would have been fantastic for the park!!!

When you arrive at the resort, go to the ticket booths and show them your reciept etc and proof of ID. They will then give you a ticket to enter the resort. Head down to the Box Office where you can be issued your Premium Season Pass.

Yeah they are pretty well off Disney. Even the lower end Disney Hotels provide a smoother and better experience.

Re: Wicker Man - General Discussion
My ride this season was probably my best one yet. It did feel rougher but that made it better in my opinion. More intense and out of control.

Yeah I did start to like the loud audio over time. It feels more 'brainwashing' and you are less in control.

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion
One thing I have noticed that is a carryover from last season, is that the audio track just before the first lift hill is deathly quiet. When I visited last week, the orange lights were on (having not been working on opening weekend) but the audio is still really quiet, a far cry from how it’s trad...

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion
I thought for quite a few years it was too loud but now it is quiet it just doesn't feel the same. Hearing it bleed out in to the queue adds extra SFX too adding to the atmosphere, which you can't hear now. When I rode, the train rolled back slightly at the bottom of the second lift. They considerably quietened down the lift 1 audio too.

Re: Wicker Man - General Discussion
Apparently it was still stripped down during the John Lewis event. Why can't they get their rides ready on time?
