Re: SW8 Construction Discussion

To be fair, the name "Twigs" sounds so docile that perhaps the newspapers won't keep bashing the towers for having "notoriously dangerous" rollercoasters

Re: SW8 Speculation and Discussion

I don't really understand how the ride could be named "The Wicker Man" considering its supposed to be fitting into the Mutiny Bay and Katanga Canyon kinda area? Unless they are retheming the area and ive missed something! Not been on for a while! Any chance somebody can post the link for t...

Re: SW8

That would be absolutely brilliant if they actually named it that! Although I do doubt that the ride will have much overlap with the BPB ride. The two parks wouldn't want to interfere with each other, instead bring out two different rides that seem in no way similar- thats the way i read the article...

Re: Thorpe Park - The Future

If I remember correctly, there is an undeveloped part behind the back of the Swarm? If there was then they could make the build there, or just push further in that direction. Idk, it was a while ago but I thought there were some aerial shots of the park showing space on the extra Swarm Island and ou...

Re: The Future Of Charlie And The Chocolate Factory; The Rid

Given that Alton already have the Ice Age IP for the 4D experience, is it much of a stretch to say that they could well add in more movie-themed IPs? They could make the whole area into an winter wonderland kinda thing, or could even put more kids' film themes on their rides. Im sure the Charlie rid...

Re: SW8

I sure hope so. I agree with Nemefan, I want some flats before we see anything big. Having closed down a lot of the rides I liked like Hex and Ripsaw, I want to see what they have done in the meantime while these rides are off the lineup

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

In the incident, people mentioned a specific type of brakes that stopped the car from moving at the top of the climb before it was released. What are they called?

Re: Thorpe Park - General Discussion

That seems most irregular... could it be more money problems? Or perhaps its something to do with Whitechapel being set up?

Re: Planning Application for Enhancements to Air

I do think Air has always been fine how it is rly. I just hope the new update doesn't come off as being a little cheesy or badly done... im not looking forward to the revamp tbh. maybe if MI5 does another flyby we can see?

I sound very presumptuous that he will :lol its not intentional!

Re: The Smiler Incident 02/06/15

I understand where people get this view but i don't really agree with it... arguably we could claim it's disrespectful to dismantle the ride as we like it so much. There's nothing we can really do to change the people's view of it unfortunately. We just have to wait

Re: Thorpe Park - New Indoor Attraction 2016

At one point somebody did, it was locked quite quickly...

I do hope the ride/attraction is highly fear-based. Whilst I know that they have the mazes on Fright Nights, i hope this serves as a much better version of Nemesis Sub-Terra, filling the gap between Fright Nights and normal season.

Re: SW8

After potentially losing 6 rides across the park, can Alton justify making another? Plus they layed off a load of their staff, I cant see them getting something new for years tbh. 2018, maybe, but nothing sooner I dont think.

Guys, you had my hopes up there! :lol

So it does have a storyline behind it, its not just an IP?

Re: Thorpe Park - New Indoor Attraction 2016

Derren Brown is known to misdirect and confuse people. Maybe that is the idea, to trick people into thinking the ride is illusion based...? I doubt it but i guess it could be?

Whilst this may sound like a stupid question, how do you do the clues? I understood the method you solve no.2 because you needed to interact with the macro but i dont get the vid clues

Re: Ride Closures/Removals in 2016

It says a lot when a lot of TTfrs have said that they are unsure whether it will be worth going next season. Its shocking that they have decided to close so many, over such short time. Maybe over a couple of years but not in one season. I can't go back this year but looking at it that isn't tragic.....

Re: The Smiler Incident 02/06/15

Tbh im not even going to comment on the mirror. Ive said it in the past and ill say it again, id need to censor it all ;)

Is it confirmed the rides are being closed down? I thought it was a rumour, so are the Mirror just twisting that?

Forget 4, I cant seem to get 1. Is one literally to watch the video or do you actually need to do something for it?

If I cant work this out then theres no way ill complete it ;)

Re: The Smiler Incident 02/06/15

If they were testing I bet they were ready. It could be the Towers way of going "look at this ride, do you see how its working?" We will have to wait unfortunately...
