Re: Coronavirus (COVID-19)
A little bit of positive news amongst all that's going on right now. Disney have announced that, on Monday 11th May, Shanghai Disneyland will re-open the theme park . This follows the re-opening of some shopping and dining experiences in Disneytown, Wishing Star Park, and the Shanghai Disneyland Hot...

Re: #AltonTowersMagic
2020 isn’t the first time Alton Towers have faced delays to their opening weekend. In 2018 snow meant that the Resort were unable to fully open the theme park, and the opening of Wicker Man was delayed. The Resort refused to be defeated however and laid on an impressive range of entertainment from T...

Re: Mega Road Trip (US)
That looks like an amazing trip, I've no doubt you will have a great time! Make sure you do post a trip report when you're back :) A couple of tips for you as I've been fortunate enough to visit most of those parks. As you plan to visit four Cedar Fair owned parks (Carowinds, Kings Dominion, Kings I...

Re: Legoland Windsor Resort - General Discussion
This is an interesting removal by Legoland. As Swarm Chris mentioned, the removal would be just after the release of Episode 9 so I can't imagine it would be Merlin's choice to suddenly remove an attraction based on an IP just as it peaks again. However, I'm also not completely surprised by the depa...

Re: SeaWorld San Diego
It would appear that SeaWorld San Diego's B&M dive coaster isn't going to be called Mako after all, with the park announced at IAAPA that the new rollercoaster is in fact going to be named "Emperor". In an accompanying tweet , the park has confirmed that the coaster will open in summer...

Re: Alton Towers Ultimate Firework Spectacular
For me, I felt that overall this year wasn't quite as good as last year's show, however, that is purely personal preference and no reflection on the quality of the show provided by the Resort which was outstanding as always. I attended Saturday and Sunday and it did seem that Sunday was the better o...

Just when you thought Energylandia might slow down after the addition of Zadra this year(which I understand was originally due for 2020), it has been confirmed that the park will be opening a whole new area in 2020. The new area will be called "Aqualantis" and will include a shop and resta...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions
I know in the hotels I have checked in at around 10pm on one occasion. It may be worth contacting the Resort via direct message on either their Facebook or Twitter accounts to double check as with the reception for the Stargazing Pods being next to Tree Top Quest they may not staff it 24 hours like ...

Re: SeaWorld Orlando
This looks like another interesting addition for SeaWorld Orlando. My only slight concern would be with capacity given the design, but I'm not overly familiar with this coaster type so I could be wrong there. The park released a teaser video showing the new ride which Midway Mayhem has uploaded to Y...

Here is the official announcement video for Iron Gwazi from Busch Gardens Tampa: oXKlFmAtP1s In some ways I do kind of like that the name still incorporates the word "Gwazi" as a nod to its predecessor. However what I don't get is the use of the Crocodile theme as Gwazi is meant to be a le...

Re: New to the forum? Introduce yourself here!
Welcome to the forum Maverick2007 :) If you're in the London area then the easiest parks to do would be Thorpe Park or Chessington World of Adventures. If it's thrills and coasters you want then Thorpe Park will be your best option. Make sure you check the opening hours though as like Alton Towers, ...
