The logo's still terrible but the theming having you launch out of a stone crocodile with jade teeth is neat.
They could have easily have filled in the Ramses Revenge pit, plonked on the drop tower and called it a day so it's good to see them taking care with the theming.

Re: The London Resort
Still won't get my hopes up until there's real building work going but the 2nd gate thing does explain the weird layout with rollercoasters way off to the left. My guess is a park aimed at smaller children. The designs in general are definitely at a stage where it feels they could start building. It...

Patent for a Legend of Zelda boat ride shows a fairly interesting flying boat concept: https://www.themeparx.com/universal-orlando-expansion/?p=24818#post24818 Not too sold on it. Rhino Rally did a hybrid boat ride (albeit with a car) and suffered from reliability issues, this seems like it'd be muc...

Re: Croc Drop - New for 2021
That is an impressively terrible logo. Lose the metallic gradient and texture, make it a flat colour or a subtle 3D effect , apply the crumbling effect to the text, replace the outline with some sort of shadowing or emboss effect. KISS applies. Too much going on with too many inconsistencies making...

Re: MYTHICA: World of Magical Creatures - 2021
Really like the idea of ancient stonework filled with magical Lego.
Here's hoping the new land is a good crowd soak to ease up the queues throughout the park. Every time I read people talking about Legoland elsewhere online, insanely long queues are always the biggest topic.

Re: Rides & Attractions
I count... 18 rollercoasters (or at least tracked rides) and 2 water rides. Guessing there's a lot of filler/placeholder stuff in that artwork as that would be a very impressive tally for a mature park, let alone a new one. I assumed the area to the left was where the waterpark would be but the iso...

Re: Coronavirus (COVID-19)
I'm pretty desperate for a Florida or California Holiday but it's not going to happen in an enjoyable fashion until there's widespread vaccination. End of Spring is the earliest I'd guess.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-54350423 28,000 workers being sacked. Florida is an "at will" state and I don't think the workers are part of any union (or at least one with any teeth) so they don't have to get any sort of payout. I hope they at least do the decent thing and if they c...

Watching Expedition Extinct (and similar channels), it's pretty common for coasters to get that sort of treatment when long term wear and tear or ride comfort issues become apparent. A wooden coaster is cheaper to rebuild sections of so they'll have smoothed out the forces on it or put more durable/...

Going into administration then immediately getting new owners... Lots of suppliers are going to lose a lot of money.
Still, good news for the park. If they want a cheap and easy way of getting a new ride, it would be neat if they repurposed the pirates adventure...

These seem very good for parks medium size parks looking to squeeze something in a tight area. I can't help but feel that big parks would struggle with their capacity.

Re: Project Rex- 2021
Guessing the Lego Movie 2 flopping spooked them a bit. Of course Project Rex could refer to Rex Dangervest from that movie and the white sculpture could be Sweet Mayhem but the rest of the colour scheme and flames don't match (Scratch the above, the original Lego Movie World was also codenamed P...

Reports of a stabbing on the bridge. Police say it isn't terror related and it looks like there was only a single victim. Hopefully the victim is ok but on the bridge at around closing time when everyone is leaving, lots of kids will have been around. Place full of people wanting to have some fun ...

Every project that isn't already part way through is going to be cancelled. Disney are taking out record loans at the moment to cover their losses. The Mary Poppins ride probably isn't a huge loss, the rumours before the initial announcement were that it was going to be a carousel and a recreation ...

Re: Parking garages next to main entrance?
Bah, I never even thought about the height of it, I suppose they could dig so far down, but even then, to fit that many cars into a space like that, feasibly it would end up having to come above tree level. Having looked at the park from above, there’s so many areas that could potentially be used...

The resort was due to re-open 17th of July but that's been postponed to an unknown date due to US officials delaying the release of guidance.
America's getting something of a second wave (or the first wave is still going on) so things could get even worse for Disney.

Re: London Entertainment Resort - General Discussion
Never realized the location was a short walk from Ebbsfleet International. You could spend a few days there, then get straight on the train to Disneyland Paris and spend a few days there. I wish Ebsfleet had better transport rail links for the south, having to go into London then out again makes it ...
