Re: New to the forum? Introduce yourself here!

Hi All, Just joined the forum, I’m 39, married with 3 kids (age 8, 6 and 4). Used to love theme parks years ago, only had a couple of trips to uk parks in the last 10 years, my wife is not a fan of coasters and the kids were obviously too small. Oldest is now able to go on a few coasters and middle...

New for 2021 - Fairground Flat Rides

With the news coming today and it being all but confirmed by the resort, it’s fair to say that we will be getting some new flat rides for 2021. It would appear that they will be temporary, and to fill the void left by rides unavailable due to Covid-19 restrictions, and those removed over the last de...

Re: Oktoberfest - General Discussion

Having been to this event twice now, I have been shocked both times. I'll be the first person to hold my hands up and say when I first heard about this I thought it would flop but having seen it and experience the event, I have been presently surprised.  The street entertainment, although sometimes ...

Re: London Entertainment Resort - General Discussion

I am apprehensive about this project but really hope it goes ahead. It seems to be gathering a bit more traction and possibility of something happening. I think if it does happen it could change the UK theme park industry for the better, if done to spec, this park could be a serious contender to oth...

Re: Alton Towers Resort Merchandise

Did anyone purchasing any of the resorts uniform on sale on EBay last week? What did you think of the sale & would you like to see more of that kind of thing?

If so have you received it yet? Be interested to see people’s pictures!

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

Alton Towers have released some drone footage that has been captured by two of the Resort’s engineering team during the lockdown period. Primarily featuring the Gardens, Towers ruins and X-Sector, the video also showcases testing footage of Oblivion, giving fans of the park their first glimpses of ...

Re: Ideas & Suggestions

I'd love to see some ride behind the scenes tours at Alton. The Gruffalo BTS and DBGT BTS are my 2 favourite exclusives that I have had with TTSP and I'd love to see them happen at Towers. As for ERT, my personal favourite is Oblivion so would love to see that next year. Not had Th13teen or Spinbal...

Re: SP Southern Screamer 2019 - Reviews & Feedback

Brilliantly organised event, huge thank you to all who made it possible. Enjoyed seeing old faces & new as well as making new friends.  Bouncezilla, of which I now hold the lap record for at 44 seconds, is really enjoyable addition to Thorpe Park over the summer months (Although you wouldn’t bel...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

Hey everyone, I’ve never done a towers opening weekend before. What day would you recommend the Saturday or Sunday? I would say it depends what you’re looking to experience. The opening day has a certain buzz and magic feel to the park with the excitement and freshness, plenty of enthusiasts and ne...

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

I think it looks poor to be honest. What’s important to remember and as I’m sure is mentioned in the video, when the Meet the Maker event took place, changes, additions and the site was still being added too. I think, like I’ve said before, it’s easy to judge something before you’ve seen it properl...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Food and Beverage

Can anyone explain to me why Katanga Canyon has a Greek themed restaurant and X-Sector has a 50’s themed restaurant it’s looks really out of place. I get they wanted to rebrand and all that but why did they change the themes of the restaurants? Don’t they own these brands anyway? Oblivion always ha...

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

The Stoke Sentinel have done a piece on the Dungeons, which confirms a few facts we have been speculating on.  The Dungeons will be a 45-minute experience. Features The Bishop of Stafford who will sentence the accused, surviving the plague and a trip to the Witch of Burslem’s haunted house (A local ...

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

I believe the boat section will be first, if I'm right it's the first aspect of each of the videos that comes first. It makes sense as well to begin on the boat and journey back in time. I've only done 2 Dungeon attractions so far so this will be my 3rd. If the acting team do a great job of capturi...

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

I would say that the majority of more reasonable-minded people understand the need/reasoning for The Dungeon to be upcharge. However, I think there are frustrations with the fact that this isn’t the sort of attraction the theme park is most in need of at this time, following the removal of several ...

When working as a host/operator on a ride, what exactly is required? Do you have to be good with heights?  And uh I was wondering if anyone knows about working there when autistic? sorry that's a bit of a directionless question Woking at heights would normally be beneficial as on coasters both ops/...
