Re: Wicker Man - General Discussion

Managed to get back on this again after the supposed re-track to help with smoothness, and I have to say that Wicker Man seems to be the fastest decline in rideability I’ve ever seen. Thinking I was going mad I’ve asked around and the general consensus from those people I’ve asked agree this thing i...

Re: Wicker Man - General Discussion

Wicker Man is currently having one of its turns rebuilt from scratch from what I can see. Specifically either the turn after the first drop or the turn out from the airtime hill through the centre of the effigy. I have to admit, whilst I like Wicker Man it’s become somewhat painful in places and for...

Re: Black Mirror Labyrinth

I’m happy with this actually. Not only is it not an up charge but it’s replacing Living Nightmare, which to me means we’re getting something decently sized. Fingers crossed it’s well themed, although I’d imagine Netflix would be quite particular about the use of the property much like they were with...

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

Maybe they’ll finish theming the black walls and push for ‘brand new 360 degree immersive storytelling’ :O :lol In all seriousness, I’d agree with Dan here. I don’t know how regularly the Warwick Castle Dungeon is refreshed but I’d expect a similar rate here. That or it’ll stay the same until/if the...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

Again, not arguing that it’s necessarily okay - just that what they’re stating isn’t false (misleading, but not false) and is immediately clarified multiple times during the booking process. In regard to Disney my point is that they’re charging more money on their website using the same offer as thi...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

All I see here is usual PR spin that you find with every major company. I don’t necessarily think it’s anything to get worked up over (not that I agree with it either). They’re always going to try and make things seem more peachy than they are, the worst offender I’ve seen recently is easily Disney,...

Re: Universal Orlando Resort

Thinking about it, I believe there was something along the lines of the “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? Experience” at some point last year, and so if that could be translated into the fountain show it could be quite the spectacle. Playing through each track with its accompanying ‘Experien...

Re: Universal Orlando Resort

From what seems to be being mentioned, Billie Eilish may have a creative hand in making the house/show, so that may be a strong benefit for it. It’s also worth noting it’s a far more specific theme being based on a single album, as opposed to “The Music of Rob Zombie” so that can work to its benefit...

Re: Universal Orlando Resort

We have our first strong insider rumour for Halloween Horror Nights 30! Following in the footsteps of the likes of Alice Cooper and Rob Zombie, insiders are claiming Universal Orlando will be receiving a scarezone or fountain show based on WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? by 5 time Grammy wi...

Re: Walt Disney World - Disney's Hollywood Studios

In regard to ride vehicles not in operation is what I meant aha. It’s been reported that the ride often runs with only one track, thus halving capacity. Sone boarding groups experiencing hour delays is a bit concerning! I really hope it all gets sorted soon, imagine a world where two of the best rid...

Re: Walt Disney World - Disney's Hollywood Studios

I wouldn’t jump the gun on the ride working just yet, with full ride and queue evacuations being a trend and rumours of limited capacity I think it could be a bumpy few months yet...

Re: Wicker Man - General Discussion

Out of curiosity, do we know if the usual GCI winter maintenance addresses areas of roughness on the coaster? I found Wicker Man to be borderline unbearably uncomfortable on the turn after the twisted double down toward the latter half of 2019, even opting against riding it on more then one occasion...

Re: Scarefest - General Discussion

I have also been at the event this year and have some thoughts on the overall event and the experiences throughout. I've always held some very strong opinions on Scarefest and it's mazes, some of which being quite controversial, and this year is no different!  I feel that an important distinction ne...

The ride will feature 3 inversions and 12 moments of airtime, however with a track length of 4,075ft and ...

Re: Fright Nights

I have to admit, I’m quite excited about Fright Nights this year. If what I’m hearing about the new maze and it’s name is true, I could see it being really fun and somewhat quirky too.

Fingers crossed for a great Fright Nights 2019!
