Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion
just out of intrest can we class that cobra roll as an inversion, its seems more like an inlined imellman with an inclined dive loop, to me that is not truly upside down as the car going from its normal position has not been rotated atleast 180 degrees, seems like another copout, IE Oblivion world ...

http://i1167.photobucket.com/albums/q630/groundking/FutureofairareaFV.png Red is the entrance to be built for when the air carpark gets built upon, so that air, the new coaster and anything else is in it's own area, that I'd theme to a high tech space stationy/travel theme with lots of highly gloss...

Re: Thorpe Park 2015 Coaster
50 meters is just over 164ft. That's as far as Thorpe can go for 2015. technically speaking they can go for 300ft as that's their absolute limit, but I doubt that a ride that tall would get passed for another 6/7 years, as Thorpe have already stated they will have a max hight of 165ft to make it ea...

Re: The Future of The Flume
Who says it HAS to be a replacement, as there's plenty enough room to have another ride there, as there's the fairly big field to the left of the que for the flume behind the turnaround thing for the rapids, and there's a large area not doing anything in the lake. When the area does eventually get s...

What about something like Goliath at Walibi World? http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/a/a3/Walibi_World_Goliath.jpg/800px-Walibi_World_Goliath.jpg http://cache.rcdb.com/nbu1dtrh106h40oeo0050c.jpg (that's a damn fine picture right there :P ) Just loose the supports on the lift for I...

Re: Walygator: Shocking photos... of a dying park?
I love how this has turned from being concerned for the future of the park to just the future of one roller coaster. :P It's because it's the only thing there worth a damn :( The reason why the park failed. Having said that the Hurricane could be a fantastic addition to LWV, as it's defiantly more ...

Re: Walygator: Shocking photos... of a dying park?
Agreed Sam. I didn't write about Holiday Park in my last post. It's 1h30 from Walygator, and nearly the same size. Holiday Park entrance price is 25€, and the park is far more interesting and nice. But I really don't see Monster going there, as they already have a world class coaster (and what for ...

Re: Thorpe Park 2015 Coaster
Yes. B&M mega coaster sounds better. Myself. A woodie should be in canadas creek not for 2015. Also. How much will thorpe park extend? If we are getting loads of B&M fanyastic altough i would like a rollercoaster like Kumba. WTF are you on mate? A B&M hyper/mega (whatever, if you want t...

Re: Thorpe Park 2015 Coaster
Al I like that idea. I also like the idea someone mentioned involving a pretzel loop over the bridge. Yes it's been a fantasy of mine for a while now, doubt it will ever happen and doubt it CAN happen but here's to hoping. I don't really think i desire a new coaster at Thorpe, it's feeling...

If a dying walygator can do it LWV must be able to
If not I hold no hope for them.

Re: Walygator: Shocking photo's... of a dying park?
Goodness! What an absolute shame! Monster does look like a good coaster. If it does end up closing, I wonder who'd buy Monster? Either way, it's sad to see a park fall into such a state. :( If the park does close (though if merlin have any ambition at all they'd buy this out as it shouldn't...

Re: Thorpe Park 2015 Coaster
Well they've probably got something in-mind. But it's still three years away, so that idea will probably change a bit before 2015. Thing is I've heard that they can build above 200ft again after 2016 as part of the stealth deal was the top had to be white and you couldn't build that tall again for ...

Re: Thorpe Park 2015 Coaster
I think a hyper would be a good move too, but Thorpe apparently can't exceed 40 meters with this next coaster. Thorpe have covered: Dark coaster: X:\ Inverted looper: Inferno Sitdown looper: Colossus Wingrider: Swarm Dark/sitdown looper: Saw Family/kiddie: Flying Fish Launch: Stealth So what could ...

Re: Air Tunnel
You know what I'd really like to see? If/When the air carpark is developed that that bit of the park is sectioned off as a new area with the entrance being built over the path where the lift for Air and the end of the Cafe is in FV and then the area themed to a futuristic look (note not saying space...

Re: Thorpe Park 2013: Possible Ride Discussion
The problem is that Chessington and Legoland are more children's parks than family parks. London needs its own Alton Towers. Many will disagree, but personally I dislike the idea of segmented theme parks. Intead of getting everything you want in one place (like Alton Towers) everything is split up....

Re: Thorpe Park 2013: Possible Ride Discussion
This was from another topic but I feel it is more relevant here. I've always believed that the "THORPE PARK" approach was doomed from the start. Creating a theme park solely aimed at teenagers and young people is a risky move as trends can change as quickly as they arrive and a single mis...

Now, I'm all for healthy debate, but when people start using swears or calling others opinions "stupid" or "rubbish" - it gets a bit personal. I never got personal when discussing your opinions... Yeah I'm sorry. Wasn't the smartest things to do. Now I don't mean they exact same...

Re: The Future of Gloomy Wood- Upgrades Ideas
As much as I hate to burst your bubble, but Th13teen would never have been built in Gloomy Wood. It was designed for the Dark Forest (Ug Land) area specifically. Corky, as much as it was loved, was thirty years old, and needed to move on in order for Alton to continue its image as a leading park. T...
