Re: Thorpe Park 2012: The Swarm

I took quite a large photo update yesterday, with lots of supports, and the base of the lifthill in the air. Here's a few important ones. http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/s720x720/307551_2007866840281_1351984640_31649314_1944949875_n.jpg http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/s...

Does it seem likely to anyone that Disneyland paris might see an Avatar park as their 3rd?

Re: Miribilandia: "Master Thai" dueling steel

The shame is that the first video posted in this thread shows clearly that the coaster was meant to be themed as it it were driving on hills in some parts. That theming is just not there. This is probably due to the fact that the track delivery was so late, and they just want it open now.

Re: Thorpe Park 2012: The Swarm

I hope that Thorpe are just giving us a tease. They know we're mainly averted to another IP, so thought just using the word WAR from gears of war would lead us all to think it's GOW themed.

[quote=""AstroDan""]Rides at Disney, Phantasialand, Europa etc tend to look brand new on an almost permanent basis due to such loving maintenance of the rides. This is where other parks, such as Portaventura, Parc Asterix, Alton Towers etc - all major parks - begin to fall behind...

Re: Alton From The Air - Pictures Uploaded

Wow. That really does show a different perspective to the park. The picture of the towers and Dark forest really surprises me, I thought the Dark Forest was a lot further back than that.

Re: Thorpe Park 2012: The Swarm

 We all know Thorpe love IP's, but I cannot stand the thought that they would not give LC12 an original theme. The plans look awesome, and we were all expecting an original theme, but GOW would ruin this all. GOW may be an amazing game, but it shouldn't get near a rollercoaster. Thorpe would h...

Wow. I can't really go in depth about modelling like other member have, but wow. That is some sublime skill you have there. It's a testament to your skill that they're beautiful to look at whilst untextured.

I cannot wait until more

Plus the fact that this isn't only for enthusiasts. If they started talking about the corkscrew or Thunder Looper then normal guests will get very confused.

Re: Europa Park 2012: GCI Woodie

That really looks like a tunnel going in there. Either that or a river or moat, which would sort of fit the vague ideas for themes we know already.

Re: Fixing my rollercoaster phobia!

I have to admit I got over my oblivion fear only the first time a few weeks back. My number one tip. Don't look at the pit, don't go anywhere near it. Every time previous I told myself I'll have a look at it, then decide, but then I just wouldn't. Just go to the entrance, and believe me, you'll love...

That would be ideal. Magical, and perfect for children. It's just a shame that Alton Towers don't think they carry that brand image anymore. They're trying to be up-to-date and modern, hence why we have Go!Go!Go! on park. :|

It looks good,, but I'm getting a little dubious about Hartenhof. Are we actually ever going to see it built? They keep postponing it and I wonder if there are some big flaws in the plans.

Re: Europa-Park: 2011 Discussion

Europa Park are really doing well this year, that looks like quite a high profile launch for the ride, it feels like fairytale alley was last years addition. I'd love to see a UK park with the same philosophy as Europa Park, they're hitting the nail on the head every time.
