Re: Proposed Paramount Park in Kent

Tony Sefton said in an article earlier in the year that the park will have rollercoasters. Speaking about the theme park, Mr Sefton said: “The park will have more rides and shows per hour than any other studio park in the world.” “There will be five first class rollercoaster’s ,” he added. http://ww...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

At least its not an operational problem, if Gerstlauer have signed it off anyway.
Oh well, hopefully they will at least be testing it tomorrow. Really want to see this thing duel!

Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

Don't suppose tomorrow's Smiler opening day cancellation will affect the sale?

I've been and loved it, but not all the effects were working at the time but apparently they are now.

Re: Proposed Paramount Park in Kent

^ Chessington is showing great signs of recovery, they are applying for planning permission for a hotel extension along with a new show. The park is obviously successful at the moment, and I can't wait to see how next year pans out with 'Zufari' opening. Chessington is also easy to access from Lond...

Re: Thorpe Park 2013: Possible Ride Discussion

Thorpe Park Mania have just added a photo, another hole has been spotted, this time by the plane in the main plaza, yet again it is unclear of what will be occupying said hole, but hopefully it will all become clear soon! Photo: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151936912170624&set=a.101...

Re: Thorpe Park 2013: Possible Ride Discussion

Yesterday on park I noticed a few people walking around in coats with TG Cruise Groundworks written on the back, one of them was walking around THE SWARM island with a measuring wheel. Perhaps this is related to 2013? Something I found whilst on park today....could this be related (if it is possibl...

Re: Winter Wonderland - Hyde Park - 23rd November 2012-6th January 2013

I thought Power Tower 2 will only be present for 3 years? I'm hoping for some new coaster, although it's unlikely I really want to see Olympia looping this year lol.

Re: Thorpe Park 2015 Coaster

Or a 200'ft high version of this?! (credit goes to towers times for the image) http://old.towerstimes.co.uk/attractions/sbl/nutty0002.jpg ;) Jokes aside, there is no way a hyper coaster would open at thorpe park. Stealth was a one off. A 50 metre high Intamin mega coaster would be awesome, those thi...

If this happens, I think it is a good decision. Although it is odd that Vengeance isn't mentioned in the plans  :?

With me being arachnophobic, no thanks.
And how do spiders fit in with Nemesis exactly? This is not a Duel extension.

Re: Heide Park 2012: Krake scaremaze + more Krake theming

They do appear to be trying in the UK with The Swarm, but as usual plans change and theming is cut. But their recent developments in Europe have been amazing in comparison to their recent UK developments so I would expect Merlin to pull their finger out with Heide since they do have serious competit...

Re: Thorpe Park 2011

That is a very sweet email. I share their disappointment, that dive would have set 'The Swarm' apart from all the other Wing riders and now that Six Flags have used it on their cheap Swarm rip off that goes by the name of X-Flight.. we have been left with a coaster that will now have to rely on it's...

As exciting as this is.... really wanted there to be an exclusive wingrider deal with Merlin :(... will never forgive the yanks if they take the spot light away from The Swarm :P.... can't wait for the announcement though, four days remaining :D.

Typical Joooz and their whinging :P To me this is a big issue, being Jewish and a supporter of Israel. Although I'm someone who despises Hitler and his Nazi scum... I don't think there's anything really wrong with there being a wax work of Hitler, that particular model was never intended to 'glorify...

Re: Thorpe Park 2012: The Swarm

Short but sweet should be the word to describe it. I don't think that is a good enough reason to dislike The Swarm, you have to remember that for a ride in the UK (and at a tiny park like thorpe) it is pretty big. Most coasters don't need to be long to be amazing rides, Oblivion and Nemesis for exam...
