Re: 2014-2019: Possible Developments?
I would like to see a mid-range hotel built. Not a Travelodge style one but around £100 a night instead of the obscene £200+ a night. I would love the option to stay on resort more but the cost is just not justifiable.

Re: Legoland Discovery Centre for Canada
Yet more unnecessary purchases racking up more debts whilst their other attractions suffer.

Re: Lightwater Valley: 2013 developments
This was the make or break decision for LWV to be honest. FL survives and always has on their Holiday camp, it's been their main source to invest in the park over the years. LWV needed this badly. I really hope the extra income secured from the year round accommodation enables them to invest in more...

Re: Online Booking Fees Removed - Hurrah!
No, that was scrapped. There was so much uproar about that, they were left with little option. All they need to do now is remove this ludicrous Merlin VAT crusade, which merely serves to confuse the public, and all will be well again! :) That had to be removed! It was almost like they were blaming ...

*goes against the grain yet again* lol
I actually think it looks great. The drop looks like Th13teens and the layout is much better. The theming in the event building looks superb and really adheres to the theme more than Th13teens does.

Re: Nemesis: Sub-Terra Discussion (ATTRACTION CLOSED 20-25 MAY)
If they add what is rumored to be added then it could give Terry the well deserved credit that should be given. I really can't wait to see these changes.

Re: Off Peak Closure of SkyRide and Other Cuts
I mean what good is being the 2nd largest leisure operator in the world if you cannot perform to it? Disney don't own nearly enough 'sites' across the world and yet I'm hearing struggles in Paris and in various other parks. So even the kings of magic are struggling to get it right. Merlin are fast b...

Re: Off Peak Closure of SkyRide and Other Cuts
It is fair to say I know minimal about large corporations and the way they conduct business on a large scale but the company I work for expanded too quickly and had to retract and cut losses just as quick as they expanded otherwise it would have gone under. I fear that Merlin are expanding way to qu...

Re: Online Booking Fees Removed - Hurrah!
Good news on this, purely there to make an extra buck. Are they still increasing the gate price for those using bogofs? That was ridiculous - Gate price = XYZ but if you have a bogof it's XYZ + a few pounds.

Re: Off Peak Closure of SkyRide and Other Cuts
Of course, Thorpe Park remove(d) trains from rides which were quiet, and then queues crept up to 20 minutes or so (old habits die hard, eh :P ). This also happened last Tuesday, everything bar Colossus was on full capacity. After Lunch The Swarm & Stealth reduced their capacity creating a 20min...

Re: Warwick Castle - Witches of Warwick
I was disappointed with the Dungeons themselves. Pretty much a carbon copy of Blackpool's and the same script, would have been nice to see some imagination from Mer.. pahhahah, sorry I couldn't finish that sentence. However the Witches of Warwick room was very good. Very creepy and well executed wit...

Interesting. Have they built one before, or just taken on Arrow's design?

Re: Nemesis: Sub-Terra Discussion (May Contain Spoilers)
I've not been more excited about re-visiting Alton to re-ride a new attraction in years.
I'm actually craving it and considering another trip down soon to have a good 5+ goes on Terry. I fell in love with it a few weeks ago and can't wait to see what's being improved on.

I can't post much now as I'm not near a computer or laptop. However my comments regarding bandwagons is not to say everyone in here is on the bandwagon. So Adz and Diogo, I don't think you two are a part of this 'bandwagon', you both have shown a disagreement towards the operations and workings of ...

Re: Off Peak Closure of SkyRide and Other Cuts
Oh yes, I know you don't go against the grain on purpose, most of your views I agree with myself. I guess the point I was trying to make is that some members on here join the hate bandwagon for the sake of it, even if they have an opposite view to the majority - and the only reason they do this is ...

Re: Alton Towers 2012 in Review
Only been for 2 days so far this year, but my own good and bad points are... The Good Sub-Terra, I love it, nuff said. :P The theming of Ice Age 4D on the outside** Trance Chicken in X-Sector, love it! *noms & dances* SW7 Teasers The new fence which does nothing or have any use in the Rapids que...

Re: Off Peak Closure of SkyRide and Other Cuts
I was thinking about this last night, and I agree with this. I'm slightly miffed myself at the closure of the Skyride on off-peak days. Submission and Enterprise staying SBNO all year and using SW7 as an excuse would have been an easier thing to do, and Alton could have easily gotten away with it. ...

Re: Off Peak Closure of SkyRide and Other Cuts
Some good points from both, although I dispute the issue on meets - aside from some joking about with Sub Terra, I don't generally feel people attack the park on meets, perhaps some sarcasm, but nothing malicious certainly. Not so bad when it's within the group, I'd agree. But when it's shouted thr...

Re: Off Peak Closure of SkyRide and Other Cuts
Oh don't get me wrong I agree it's nice to see them back down due to pressure and show they are listening, as they do and have made some right clangers. My issue is the tone of the latest in the 'Gate' series. You can almost see the way enthusiast especially are reacting "here's the address you...
