For the 20th birthday of TowersTimes we hosted our biggest event ever!
The day started with an exclusive group takeover of the world’s only fourteen looping coaster, The Smiler. Attendees heard from the people behind TowersTimes and Attraction Source in an insightful presentation on the history of the community. We then learnt what goes into the operation of some of the greatest rides in Europe with a fascinating talk by Gaz Birks, Head of Ride Operations. An exclusive after-hours takeover of Wicker Man took place before an evening of celebrations in the Alton Towers Conference Centre. John Wardley, famed designer of some of the world’s greatest attractions, joined us for a special Q&A session, before attendees’ knowledge was tested in the Ultimate Alton Towers Quiz. We then finished the day with a special TowersTimes social like no other!
